My idea

A "tree" on which each of the leaves in a small solar-cell.  The surface area could be equivalent to roof-top solar cell cluster.  In addition, the tree would be hollow an the entire trunk would collect rain water for non-potable use at the house.  Every house in a neighborhood has one "tree" in a yard.
